八是个讨口彩的数字, 寓意新年, 事业新发。 凡是华人的春节餐桌, 一定要有这道菜。
八宝鸡在20 到30 年代是一道宫廷菜肴, 先有“八宝鸡”的做法, 后来演变出“八宝鸭”。
从食材制作神奇的一面, 餐馆师傅就把“八宝鸡” 名为金凤吉祥!

Embracing the symbolism of the number eight, heralding fresh beginnings and prosperity, the Propitious 8 Treasure Chicken embodies the spirit of new opportunities—perfect for welcoming the Chinese New Year. Originating as a revered palace dish in the 1920s and 1930s, initially known as ‘Babao chicken’ before transforming into ‘Babao duck,’ this dish holds a rich culinary heritage. Infused with an array of magical ingredients, some restaurant’s chef fondly named this exquisite creation ‘Jinfeng Jixiang’—a testament to its auspicious essence.”
