The aim of this course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge and skills decorating a cake. Students who have successfully completed this course shall be able to:

  1. Make basic cake for decoration
  2. Prepare ingredients used in cake decoration
  3. Make pastillage and sugar paste
  4. Roll, cut, dry and shape pastillage and sugar paste
  5. Pipe ingredients including royal icing, chocolate, jelly, and sugar paste
